Baby Lily and taking a chance on film.

Baby girl rests on moms chest after being born via cesarean while mom and day embrace about to kiss in the recovery room.

Over a year ago now, (wow, I’m seriously behind on blogging!) Holly reached out to me in an inquiry about birth videography. While I hadn’t done film before, it had been on my radar to learn, I I asked her if she would take a chance on me and let me learn while documenting the birth of her sweet daughter. She said yes and a delightful bond was made!

I took a Birth Videography training course through Birth Becomes You and it was FULL of great insights, tips and tricks for me. I’m definitely still learning, but happy with the memories I was able to capture for Holly and her family.

Mom holds new baby while her toddler son holds her hand as he meets her for the first time in the hospital.

Getting to know the Cieslinski family over their pregnancy and birth was such a gift. I think the video says it all, but I’ll post a separate blog post with their images too (next time my Junipers nap allows, lol.)

Brothers running commentary in the background might be my favorite thing. He was so so excited to meet his sister.
