For the love of black and white!

Life speeds by in vivid color, and I love color. You should see our house with it’s seafoam green floors and bright pink floral mural, and canary yellow sunroom. It’s a wild place. But when it comes to storytelling and the art form of photography, sometimes black and white just tells it better.

Black and white can help eliminate distractions drawing the eye to the emotional focus of an image instead of a busy background.

It can also allow you push the contrast further and really make the image POP!

Black and white is timeless.

It allows you to see texture in a new way than how we experience it IRL.

Shape and form can really take up space in striking ways as well, bringing a focus into faces or movement like we may have missed in a color photography.

I recently compiled a few of my recent favorite black and white images with the hope to print a few to be printed as wall art soon and wanted to share my picks with you all!

Which are you most drawn to? What do these images make you feel?

It is such an honor as always to get to witness these incredible, impactful moments with my clients. To draw attention to the beauty in their births and pregnancy through photography is exactly why I love this work!

What moments do you want to remember forever?
