Doula - Birth Support

As your doula, hearing your heart for your birth is my number one priority.

Your birth – Your way – Supported with care

The facts are that doulas make a difference. Births with doulas are 28% less likely to have a cesarean, 31% less likely to use synthetic oxytocin to speed up labor, 9% less likely to use any pain medication, 34% less likely to rate their childbirth experience negatively. If you’re interested in learning more about the evidence for doulas check out my blog on doula support, this paper or visit evidencebasedbirth.com.

These stats show me that with continuous emotional and physical support you have a higher likelihood of a positive birth experience.

But as much as I love stats and facts, what really matters when you’re selecting a doula is connection.

As your doulas we strive to be your safe place, to hold you and your vulnerabilities as you enter into the birth space. Feeling safe and protected while in labor is key to labor progress and positive birth experiences.

We will work to build our relationship throughout your pregnancy in our initial consultation, prenatal meetings and at your maternity photo session and by the time you go into labor it’s like we’re you’re super supportive birth nerd best friend!

“Randi is the perfect addition to any birth team. She has provided more support for my entire pregnancy than I could ever ask for, resources for any question I may have, mental and emotion support at any time of day. She is the best listening ear. I couldn't imagine not having Randi present during my labor and delivery- she was a constant source of support, a helpful hand, kept me motivated with her sweet words of encouragement, and was beyond helpful to my husband during my entire labor checking in on him and offering ways he could support me. You will not be disappointed in adding Randi to your birth team!
Her photography skills are beyond amazing and have allowed me to process my birth again and again. She perfectly captured our entire birth, the room, the amazing moment between my husband and I, and the first moments with our sweet babe!”
